Machu Picchu 1D is for those people that don’t have much time but want to see the wonderful lost city of the Incas, Machu Picchu. On this tour we will get up early in the morning in the city of Cusco to take our train to Machu Picchu, spending the day seeing this world wonder and getting to know the town of Aguas Calientes. Then at night return to the city of Cusco also by train and you will be taken to the hotel where you were picked up that morning. Remember that on this tour it is necessary to be in Cusco city a day before you would like to see Machu Picchu.

Route:
Day 1: We will pick you up at your hotel in the city of Cusco and we will take you to the train station located in the town of Poroy or Ollantaytambo (that will depend on the availability of ticket of train and logistic facilities), then you will take the train and begin the journey to the town of Aguas Calientes which is (2000 m above sea level). Throughout the trip you will be accompanied by a professional bilingual guide at all times. Then in Aguas Calientes after take our breakfast we will take a bus climbing 400 m of height, for approximately 20 minutes until you reach “The sanctuary of Machu Picchu”, known as “The lost city of the Incas”. On arrival at the Citadel of Machu Picchu, pass control, where we will deliver our revenue tickets. Then finally enter where we will begin our guided tour, visiting the main square, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sundial, the Royal quarters, the Temple of the three Windows and the cemeteries, it will take approximately 2 hours. Then you will be given free time, to stroll around the Citadel or have lunch at one of several restaurants in the village of Aguas Calientes or if you want in the Sanctuary Lodge (lunch is on your own) and will be given a return ticket to Aguas Calientes by bus. In the afternoon or evening we will take the train to return to Cusco (depending on the time of departure of your train), This will be agreed by your Guide in the morning before starting this nice tour. Then we will arrive at the city of Cusco and you will be transferred back to your hotel. (Upon request you can travel back by train to the village of Ollantaytambo and be transferred from this town to the city of Cusco by private bus or private vehicle) . On the way to Cusco we will provide you a snack.
