Sacred valley tour

One day tour Sacred Valley.

 

The Sacred Valley of the Incas or Valley of the Vilcanota rests between the villages of Pisac and Ollantaytambo, and is a good recommendation where to appreciate much of Incan history. In this tour we leave at 9 am, us head to Pisac which is 35 km from the city of Cusco. Get to know the Pisac market where there are handmade crafts and clothes by the same inhabitants of that village. Also the archaeological site of Pisac, the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo and returning in the afternoon going through the Church of Chincheros.

Route:

We have advance to meet up at 8:15 am and if you wish, we can pick you up from the hotel where you are staying in the city of Cusco. We continue our tour to Pisac which is 35 km from the city of Cusco where we will visit the traditional and artisanal market and where all products are handmade crafts and if you wish you can buy some souvenirs. After going up the extensive ruins of Pisac where also you will have a beautiful view of the Valley, always with a bilingual guide in your company. Observe temples, Incan residences, altars, roads, tunnels, caverns and the Intihuatana which is an Inca astronomic calendar.  For people who want to spend more time at the craft market of Pisac and not go to its ruins please coordinate with the guide a time where you can be picked up and continue with the tour of the Sacred Valley. Then we continue our journey to the town of Urubamba, where we will have our lunch. After our lunch going to Ollantaytambo is surrounded by sacred mountains and where you discover the fascination of Incan architecture and tradition which exists still today. You will see giant stones as they were Ionic, overhanging, roads, stairs, platforms of resistance to avoid land changes. To return to the city of Cusco we go through Chinchero to visit its famous church. Then return to Cusco and we will arrive approximately at 7 pm. Then the dinner time will be coordinated.
