Inca Jungle Trek to Machu Picchu 4D/3N.

This tour was especially created to provide a route for those who want to visit Machu Picchu not by Inca trail. This tour is a journey with the destination of the lost city of the Incas, Machu Picchu. On this tour you will enjoy wonderful scenery, where you will find birds, vegetation, wildlife, fruit, waterfalls, rivers and much more on a bike ride, hiking and rest breaks. Starting our departure in the city of Cusco on a bus, then biking, hiking and returning by train.

Route:

Day 1: We will pick up at your hotel in Cusco with a bilingual guide at 6:30 am, where you will travel by bus approximately 4 hours until you reach the Malaga pass which is (4350 meters above sea level) where we will start our descent on bikes. Then do a decline of 3 to 4 hours on bike where we will have lunch on the road and then continue until you reach Santa Maria. Here we spend the night in a simple lodging. On the way we see snow-capped mountains and vegetation of a rain forest, appreciating coffee plantations and until you reach Santa Maria coca leaves. On this day you will have the option to choose if you want to go rafting Prior notice before starting the whole tour

At night we will have our dinner and then to sleep for b ready for the next day

 

Day 2: After eating a delicious breakfast at 7:00 am we will be ready to make our trek. Our walk will be approximately 7 or 8 hours and approximately 23 km between steep descents and ascents towards  to Santa Teresa. There we will have the opportunity to walk along some ancient Inca roads and observe a range of vegetation. We can see various wildlife and birds such as parrots and many fruits in a tropical zone and cross the river Urubamba through a hanging basket then get to the hot springs of Santa Teresa where you can enjoy the swimming pools. Is in this way to Santa Teresa where we will have our lunch and then we continue towards the town of Santa Teresa where we spend the night in a simple lodging and before we sleep we will have our dinner.

Day 3: After our breakfast at 7:00 a.m. we will start trekking towards the village of Aguas Calientes, first we will walk for hours through the Valley of the Aobamba River until the area called Intihuatana where we will spend a short time going through a government checkpoint. Then continue until Inca Rakay place where we will enjoy our lunch where we will see a series of waterfalls and will also have the opportunity to admire the majestic mountains Machu Picchu and Haynapicchu. We will also see the Intihuatana, or sundials that will be at the top of the mountain and other buildings of the Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, after the 2 last hours of walk will be along the side of the railroad line to the village of Aguas Calientes. Is in aguas Calientes where we can talk about have a dinner togueter or if you prefer to have it by your own.

Day 4: This day is the most important, we will finally be in the lost city of the Incas, Machu Picchu which is one of the 7 Wonders of the world. We will need to get up early around 4:30 a.m. eat breakfast and start our ascent of an hour and a half until reaching Machu Picchu. Once we are inside Machu Picchu our guide takes you to the most important places while giving detailed explanation of every site for 2 hours where you can take photos and enjoy the impressive Inca citadel. You will have free time to explore and take photos andthen coordinate with your guide to return to aguas calientes by bus where we will have our lunch. Then we will return by train to the city of Cusco and in the way we will provide you a snack.
