One day to Rainbow Mountain.
The Rainbow Mountain (VINICUNCA) is one of the majestic attractions present on the way to the mountain of AUSANGATE, it is cataloged by the magazine NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC as one of the 100 places that must be visited before dying. The Rainbow Mountain at 5000 above sea level gives you the most beautiful and colorful scenery with the view of the Ausangate mountain on the side. Among its exposed minerals are iron oxide, copper sulphate and that’s why it gives it that impressive color.

Route:
Day1: Our tour will start at 03:30 am, where you will be picked up from your different lodgings and then we will drive for about 3 hours to the picturesque village of Pitumarca south of the city of Cusco, where we will make a stop to provide us of some things necessary to start the tour like for example water or energizing drinks, snack, Cereals, etc. It is recommended to be prepared a day before with everything you may want for your trek.
After the short stop we will go to the village of Chilca, where on the way you will appreciate snow and many beautiful landscapes and crops of people from the area.
In this place Chilca is where we will begin our trek but before us will be waiting with a rich breakfast to begin our trek. Then the guides or guide commissioned will give an explanation or briefing about what will be your trek in the language you understand and will be asked if you require any special medication or if you need a horse to trek Vinicunca the Rainbow Mountain .
Once finished the briefing we will begin the ascent of about 3 hours. There will be different stops on the road where you may need a bathroom and in particular we will stop at Vinicunca control. Along the ascent you will be impressed with the colorful landscape with streams and once you are there in the oriel of Vinicunca at 5033 above sea level you will see it worth to trek.
You will have the opportunity to walk a little more, about 100 meters more and be able to have a better view of the mountain and appreciate it better, for lovers of photos are recommended.
After appreciation and rest, the guide will give a brief explanation of what is this beautiful place and start our descent to Chilca. It is estimated that the descent is 2 hours and a half and arriving at the village Chilca will be waiting for us with a delicious lunch.
We know that not everyone will descend at the same time and that is why when all us are togueter we will be served lunch.
Once finished lunch we will return to the city of Cusco to 3 hours in our private mobility and you will be left in your hotels.
