Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) is a fun and versatile water sport where you stand on a large, stable board and move across the water using a paddle. While SUP can be enjoyed in ocean waves, it is also perfect for exploring the calm waters of the beautiful lakes and lagoons of the Peruvian Andes.
Escape the city, breathe the fresh mountain air, and enjoy breathtaking views of the Andes while exploring one of the region’s stunning high-altitude lakes.

Itinerary
Departure from Cusco or the Sacred Valley
After breakfast at your hotel, your guide will pick you up at approximately 8:30 AM in our private transportation.
Depending on your hotel’s location, travel time to the lake will vary. The journey from Cusco or the Sacred Valley to the lake takes approximately 50 minutes.
Along the way, enjoy beautiful views of the Andean mountains and countryside while learning more about the local communities and their way of life.
Arrival at the Lake
Upon arrival at our base station at either Huaypo Lagoon or Piuray Lagoon, our team will welcome you to our private base.
Take some time to relax in our comfortable outdoor area while enjoying a refreshing cold drink, or a warm coffee or tea depending on the weather.
Before beginning the activity, your guide will provide a brief safety and SUP orientation, explaining how to use the paddleboard, basic paddling techniques, and important safety information.
The briefing will take approximately 10 minutes.
Stand-Up Paddle Experience
Once you’re ready, we will provide all the necessary equipment, including your stand-up paddleboard or single/doble kayak, paddle, life jacket, and windbreaker.
Then it’s time to get on the water!
We will explore the lake together for approximately 2 hours, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and spectacular Andean scenery.
Along the way, you may have the opportunity to see local birds and fish, while making plenty of stops for photographs and enjoying the natural beauty of the area.
After the paddleboarding experience, we will return to our base station.
Deluxe Picnic or Traditional Pachamanca
After your time on the water, enjoy a delicious meal surrounded by the beautiful Andean landscape.
Choose between a deluxe picnic/buffet or a traditional Pachamanca experience.
You can also enjoy hot and cold beverages throughout your visit.
Vegetarian and vegan options are available upon request.
Return to Your Hotel
After relaxing, enjoying your meal, and taking in the scenery, we will begin our return journey to your hotel.
We hope you leave with unforgettable memories of your day exploring the lakes and landscapes of the Peruvian Andes.
